A key to our success is securing an experienced Senior Metallurgist to join our Processing team located at our Clients Tennant Creek operation in the Northern Territory. This role will be 2/2 FIFO ex Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine or Mt Isa, or a residential roster with bonus. THE PROJECT Coil Group is responsible for the commissioning and ongoing operations and maintenance of Tennant Consolidated Mining Group’s (TCMG) Nobles Nob 840ktpa Gravity/CIL Processing Plant centred on the historic Nobles Nob mine site in the Northern Territory. The site is situated approximately 15km east of Tennant Creek, one of the historically highest-grade gold mining towns in Australia. We are assembling a core team to execute the commissioning, operation, maintenance, and ongoing optimisation of this newly relocated and rebuilt plant, with commissioning set to being in March 2025. Backed by substantial resources and a highly driven Owner, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a significant impact from the ground up and helping shape the future of the business. THE ROLE Reporting to the Process Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the metallurgical performance of the processing plant whilst providing leadership and guidance to the metallurgy team, and support to the operations and maintenance teams. You will have significant metallurgical experience focused on gold extraction, as well as an understanding of gold processing technologies and equipment to succeed in your primary role of exceeding target ounce production whilst attaining Safety and Cost KPI’s. The Senior Metallurgist will lead metallurgical test work requirements and operational improvement strategies whilst ensuring standards to health and safety policies and procedures are upheld. Experience with data management and metallurgical software forms a large part of the role and is a necessity. This role is available for immediate start, on a 2:2 roster. Mobilisation will be from Tennant Creek, Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs and Mt Isa. Interstate mobilisation available for the right applicant. DIDO will be considered. ABOUT YOU This role would suit a driven Senior Metallurgist or Plant Metallurgist ready for the challenge.
